Barn Owl & Great Blue Heron by well noted artist ~ John James Audubon

John James Audubon (1785-1851) was the premier naturalist and a well-respected American Artist. He is remembered as one of the most important naturalists of his era, and his respect and concern for the natural world clearly marks him as one of the forefathers of the modern movements. In 1886, the first bird-preservation society was named in his honor, which led to the establishment of the National Audubon Society in 1905. Countless wildlife sanctuaries, parks, streets, and towns also bear his name and honor his legacy. His attention to detail and his prints became world famous as they were published. Future generations including Charles Darwin all drew on his expertise through his published legacy. These prints drawn over the course of his life are as true and accurate today as they were in the 1700's, sadly, some species will never be seen except in his drawings.

This artwork is crafted with 100-percent cotton artist-grade canvas, professionally hand-stretched and stapled over pine-wood bars in gallery wrap style - a method utilized by artists to present artwork in galleries but, they are additionally framed! Fade-resistant archival inks guarantee perfect color reproduction that remains vibrant for decades even when exposed to strong light. Add brilliance in color and exceptional detail to your space with the contemporary and uncompromising style of canvas.
