A highlight added to the auction this year is a non-service auction item called, 'My Horse,' by Artist, Marry Ann Figgins. It is a Limited Edition, watercolor, print type: Giclee. Its Certificate of Authenticity is signed by the Artist and the framed print measures 15½ X 23. Print number 12/100.
Mary Ann has been involved in creating art since she was young. Having a father who was an Industrial Designer gave her a chance to experience different mediums and always hearing about design and color. Little did she know that would be the direction she would take in college, but with a little twist, she majored in Art Education. Her major field was oil painting. She said the watercolor was her biggest challenge. After graduating from Western Michigan University, she became a traveling art teacher, and never touched her oil paints again. Just for fun she took a watercolor painting class, and it changed her direction to that medium. These days Mary Ann's been teaching and painting for over (30) years and participating in many art shows around the West winning numerous awards.
